Overview
The role is responsible for supporting a number of Wealth Advisors (WA’s) with the day to day management of the client book, responding to client queries, portfolio modelling and the implementation of clients’ investment strategy. The role has responsibility for regular client correspondence and communication, the dispatch of periodic reporting to clients and the undertaking of KYC reviews across the client base on an ongoing basis. The role may also include involvement in the development and implementation of new systems, working with different parts of the business to ensure a smooth transition.
Responsibilities
- Support the WA’s with the day to day management of the client book
- Help the WA’s to maintain existing client relationships
- Assist in preparing and presenting to prospective clients
- Assist the WA in managing clients’ investment portfolios
- CRM system maintenance and review of restrictions, including the review of models
- Produce MI reporting and present to senior management as required
- Treasury – coordinate payments and deposits, recording payments in the monitoring system
- Responding to client queries
- Timely, professional and accurate response to client queries and requests
- Ensure any necessary documentation is in place – recording details on CRM system
- Portfolio modelling and implementation of clients investment strategy
- Accurate and timely portfolio modelling and order building – including constructing and implementing model changes across the wider client book
- Preparing and implementing investment recommendations
- Post trade monitoring. To ensure transactions have been implemented accurately
- Responsible for communication and dispatch of periodic reporting to clients
- Organisation of client meetings, coordinating with the parties involved
- Prepare documents for client meetings
- Contribute in client meetings, leading client meetings on occasion
- For a subset of clients, monthly and quarterly preparation and checking of valuations and the distribution of client reports
- Investment analysis and research
- Be prepared to carry out independent research on unfamiliar topics and provide an objective and considered recommendation to clients
- Strong interest in finance is essential with a mindset of continuous development of macro-economic and finance knowledge
- KYC Maintenance
- Ensure full set of up to date documentation is on the client file
- Aspire to taking on responsibility for a portion of the client book
- You are QCA level 4 qualified with a view to becoming QCA level 6 qualified imminently
- You are working towards inheriting a book of clients
- Promote and develop robust Operating Procedures across the business
- You are responsible for adhering to the operating procedures of the business as written and of providing enhancements and changes to the procedures as and when identified. It is essential that any such changes are properly documented immediately.
- Assist in the preparation and implementation of any new systems, working to ensure that all Client Relationship requirements of the new system are met

- Degree qualification or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of a range of investment products across asset classes
- Good analytical skills
- 1- 5 years experience in assisting in the management of a book of UHNW / HNW clients
- Strong organisational and MS Office (particularly Excel & PowerPoint) skills are essential
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to use initiative and work independently
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
- Comfortable and willing to take on increasing levels of responsibility
