We are looking for an experienced AVP Rates Product Controller to support a Rates trading business within a leading financial institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily P&L production, review and commentary for Rates desks.
- P&L attribution and investigation of unexplained movements.
- Independent price verification and valuation control.
- Balance sheet substantiation and month-end controls.
- Partner closely with Rates Traders, Market Risk, Valuation Control and Finance.
- Review new products and complex transactions from a Product Control perspective.
- Improve controls, reporting and automation across the Rates business.

Ranked Requirements
- Strong Rates Product Control experience within an investment bank.
- Hands-on P&L production and P&L attribution experience.
- Strong knowledge of interest-rate derivatives, including swaps, options and futures.
- Experience supporting a Front Office Rates trading desk.
- Good understanding of yield curves, sensitivities and valuation drivers.
- Experience with IPV, valuation adjustments and balance-sheet controls.
- Strong analytical and Excel skills.
- Strong stakeholder management with traders and senior Finance stakeholders.

Preferred
- Experience across Swaps, Government Bonds, Inflation, Options or Exotics.
- Understanding of Greeks and Rates risk measures including DV01/PV01.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification advantageous.
- SQL, Python or automation experience advantageous.
