It's about:
- Managing a varied caseload - Advising individuals, families, and trustees on wills, estate planning, inheritance tax, powers of attorney, trusts, and wider private wealth matters.
- Taking the lead on complex work - Handling high-value and technical estates and trust matters with confidence and expertise, while working closely with colleagues and Partners.
- Supporting and mentoring - Guiding more junior lawyers and paralegals, sharing your knowledge, and contributing to the development of a collaborative and high-performing team.
- Building strong client relationships - Delivering clear, empathetic, and commercially aware advice tailored to clients’ personal and financial goals.
- Contributing to growth - Playing an active role in business development, developing client relationships, and helping to identify and drive new opportunities for the department.
- Driving innovation - Embracing new technologies and smarter ways of working to enhance efficiency, develop our services, and deliver an excellent client experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
