Associate/Senior Associate - Clinical Negligence - MULTIPLE ROLES
Location: Cardiff
The Opportunity
Multiple opportunities are available to join an established and highly regarded Clinical Negligence team within a leading UK law firm.
This is a priority recruitment campaign for the business, and successful candidates can expect a fast and streamlined interview process. The first stage will be held virtually, followed by a second-stage interview in person.
The team represents claimants and their families following poor medical treatment and handles a broad range of clinical negligence matters, including complex and high-value claims. The Role
The role will primarily involve working on new and potential instructions, as well as managing an existing caseload. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of clinical negligence matters with minimal supervision, while benefiting from strong team support.
- Handling a wide range of clinical negligence cases, including complex matters.
- Maintaining a strong working knowledge of the CPR and law relating to clinical negligence.
- Providing clear, sensitive and pragmatic advice to clients.
- Drafting witness statements, pleadings and other legal documentation.
- Reviewing medical reports and providing appropriate advice to clients.
- Developing and maintaining an understanding of relevant medical issues.
- Instructing and working closely with Counsel.
- Dealing with complex conferences and hearings.
- Working collaboratively with other solicitors to develop strong client relationships and knowledge across the team.
- Maintaining high professional standards and excellent client care.
- Keeping up to date with clinical negligence complaints procedures relating to GPs and the NHS in England and Wales.
- Assisting with the supervision and development of other fee earners where required.
- Contributing to business development activities and wider team initiatives.

About You
We are looking for ambitious, self-motivated solicitors with strong clinical negligence experience and the ability to manage a caseload effectively.
You will have:
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent client care and communication skills.
- A proactive and forward-thinking approach.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
- Strong technical knowledge of clinical negligence.
- A genuine interest in developing your career within a specialist clinical negligence practice.

Salary
Salary is open to discussion and will be determined based on the successful candidate's level of experience, technical expertise and overall suitability for the role.
