Associate / Senior Associate - Insolvency

Farleys' Insolvency team advises insolvency practitioners, businesses, directors, creditors, and individuals on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters.

As demand for our expertise continues to grow, we are looking to appoint an ambitious Associate or Senior Associate to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insolvency lawyer who enjoys working on complex matters, building strong client relationships, and playing a key role in the growth of a successful practice.

The Opportunity

You will join a specialist Insolvency Team handling high-quality corporate and personal insolvency work, acting primarily for insolvency practitioners. The caseload will include advisory, transactional, and litigation matters. The successful candidate will be encouraged to take an active role in business development, strengthening relationships with insolvency practitioners and other professional introducers, supporting client training initiatives, and contributing to the continued growth of a highly regarded insolvency practice.

Your Work Will Include

  • Corporate and personal insolvency matters
  • Advising insolvency practitioners, creditors, directors, and shareholders
  • Administrations, liquidations, and bankruptcies
  • Transactions involving distressed businesses and assets
  • Director conduct and disqualification matters
  • Regulatory and compliance issues affecting office holders and insolvency appointments
  • Antecedent transaction claims
  • Recovery actions and asset tracing including complex investigations, property recovery, and enforcement strategies
  • Security enforcement and creditor strategy
  • Contentious insolvency and insolvency-related litigation
  • Business development and networking activities

About You

We are interested in speaking with lawyers who combine strong technical ability with commercial awareness and a genuine desire to build lasting client relationships.

You Will Ideally Have

  • Qualified Solicitor with experience in insolvency and restructuring work
  • Associate or Senior Associate level experience
  • The ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively within a team
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Experience handling both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters
  • Excellent client relationship and communication skills with an aptitude for developing referral sources and long-term professional relationships
  • A proactive and commercially focused approach
  • An interest in helping develop and grow a thriving practice area
