The Opportunity
A highly regarded Top 100 law firm with a growing corporate practice is looking to appoint an ambitious and commercially minded Associate to join its Bristol team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a corporate lawyer looking to develop their career within a successful and expanding practice, working alongside experienced partners on a broad range of high-quality domestic and international transactions.
The team advises a diverse client base including corporates, institutional investors, founders and management teams, with lawyers given meaningful exposure to transactions and the opportunity to develop strong client relationships from an early stage.
The Team
The corporate practice has an established presence across several key UK offices, providing a genuinely collaborative and integrated platform for clients.
The Bristol team works closely with colleagues across the wider corporate practice and other specialist disciplines, creating opportunities to collaborate on a varied range of transactions and to benefit from the expertise of lawyers across the firm.
The team has a strong reputation for technical quality and commercial advice, while maintaining a supportive and collegiate culture. There is a genuine focus on developing lawyers and providing opportunities to take on increasing responsibility as their careers progress.
The Role
You will work on a varied mix of domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity, venture capital, group restructurings and reorganisations, corporate governance and general corporate advisory work.

The team acts across a broad range of sectors, with particularly strong activity in Technology and Health & Social Care. There will be opportunities to become involved in sector-focused initiatives, including client development and profile-raising activity.
You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers, gaining exposure to high-quality transactions while taking increasing responsibility for the day-to-day management of matters and client relationships.
About You
We are looking for a corporate lawyer who is commercially minded, ambitious and keen to develop within a collaborative and high-performing team.
You will ideally have:
- 2–7 years' PQE gained within a reputable regional, national or City corporate practice.
- Experience supporting on M&A, private equity and/or venture capital transactions.
- Strong drafting and technical skills.
- A genuine interest in the Technology sector and an appetite to become involved in related sector and business-development initiatives.
- Strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach to career development and business development.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team while taking ownership of your own matters.
