We're looking for a customer-focused Assistant Customer Service Technician to join our team in Telford. If you enjoy helping customers, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, we'd love to hear from you.


About the Role

As an Assistant Customer Service Technician, you'll play a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience by supporting our customers, engineers, and internal teams. You'll be the first point of contact for many customer enquiries, ensuring every interaction is handled professionally, efficiently, and with a customer-first approach.

Working within a collaborative team, you'll coordinate service appointments, manage customer records, and provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of our Customer Service function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally, providing excellent customer service.
  • Schedule warranty call-outs, servicing appointments, and repair visits.
  • Raise customer orders and support invoice reconciliation activities.
  • Respond to customer enquiries via email and other communication channels in a timely manner.
  • Build positive relationships with customers by providing knowledgeable and professional support.
  • Promote the Viessmann brand by delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • Accurately maintain customer records in line with GDPR and company data protection requirements.
  • Support the Customer Service Supervisor with general administrative duties and day-to-day operational tasks.
  • Record customer interactions, enquiries, and resolutions accurately within company systems.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a customer service or customer support environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both over the phone and in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach when handling challenging customer situations.
  • Confident managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong keyboard and data entry skills with experience using databases and CRM systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.
  • A proactive, organised individual who can work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between £24,785.00-£49,420.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.


Other Compensation

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
