Assurance Field Engineer – HS2

Location: London – HS2 SCS Project
Employment: Full-Time Contract

We are looking for an experienced Assurance Field Engineer to join a HS2 SCS project team.

You will play a key role in ensuring MEPH installations are inspected, verified and fully assured in line with HS2 standards, project requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect delivered materials and verify compliance, condition and traceability
  • Complete digital ITP check sheets using Asite
  • Author and execute Inspection & Test Records (IRNs)
  • Inspect and verify mechanical installations against drawings and specifications
  • Identify, record and manage defects and non-conformances
  • Take ownership of snagging and close-out activities
  • Support assurance documentation, S/QRPs and handover records
  • Liaise with construction teams, system engineers, QA/QC teams and client representatives
  • Support progressive assurance across multiple work fronts

Requirements

  • Mechanical/Electrical installation qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • Experience in MEP installation inspection or field assurance
  • Strong understanding of ITPs, IRNs and construction assurance
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications and technical documentation
  • Experience using Asite or similar digital QA systems
  • Experience with inspection, testing and quality verification
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within site teams

Desirable

  • HNC/HND in Engineering or related discipline
  • QA/QC or inspection qualifications
  • Experience on HS2, Crossrail or other major infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of S/QRP and handover documentation
  • Experience with MEPH systems and interfaces
  • Experience supporting completions and handover
