Reports to: Head of Domestic Recruitment & Widening Participation
Salary: up to £38,000 depending on experience
Location: London (hybrid working)
Contract: Permanent
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role plays a key part in supporting the recruitment and enrolment of both UK-based international students and home students to ASU London. Working closely with the Head of Domestic Recruitment & Widening Participation and the Student Recruitment Officer, the postholder will be responsible for meeting conversion and enrolment targets across both audiences while delivering an exceptional student experience.
The role acts as the primary conversion contact for prospective students from enquiry stage through to enrolment. All live chat, inbound enquiries, and 1:1 applicant communication are owned and managed by the Student Enrolment Adviser. This excludes marketing campaigns, marketing automation, and outbound promotional communications, which sit within Marketing.
A key aspect of this role is delivering against two equally important recruitment streams: UK-based international (UKI) students and home students, each contributing equally to enrolment targets and institutional priorities. The role will also deliver events and activities as defined in our Access and Participation Plan (APP) to enable us to meet our associated targets.
The postholder is expected to apply appropriate messaging, guidance, and conversion approaches tailored to the differing needs of each cohort, while maintaining equal focus on performance outcomes across both groups. Adhering to CMA and brand guidelines the postholder is expected to have an excellent standard of written English and attention to detail.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
