Role Overview

The Atelier Coordinator supports the Atelier Manager with administrative tasks and daily running of the Atelier. Additional responsibilities include managing the VBPO, Press Sample and V.I.P requests to ensure they are thoroughly tracked and delivered in accordance to the Critical Path.

Job Description

The Atelier Coordinator provides administrative support to the Atelier Manager by assisting in key tasks to ensure that critical path dates are met. This is a varied, hands-on role that covers a broad range of areas to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the studio.

Responsibilities

Atelier

  • Manage and follow the personal order process
  • When directed by Atelier Manager, responsible for setting up trials for new freelancers
  • Assist in maintaining the everyday running of the Atelier including but not limited to creating and maintaining the seasonal boards, filing/labelling, organising couriers and other general administration duties
  • Maintain visual progression boards, working rails and daily workflow calendar, organise the prioritisation of patterns, cutting, machining
  • Prepare all technical fit sessions with preparing all the garments, sending out weekly fit lists, take notes on the technical fitting and keeping track of each proto stage.
  • Manage End of Season Stock Takes and ensure the Atelier is sufficiently stocked with internals and trims throughout the season.
  • Manage communication with Machine Suppliers on any required maintenance and book in when necessary
  • Create and maintain a catalogue of all the interlining information for the specific season
  • Work collaboratively with Head of Industrialisation and Head of Collection to ensure handover is smooth in advance of Pre Production
  • Any other support as directed by the Atelier Manager as and when required

Press

  • Manage the VBPO, Press and V.I.P trackers, ensuring all information is documented and updated thoroughly.
  • Ensuring we are following Critical path dates and sticking to a set budget.
  • Follow the development of VBPO, Press samples and V.I.P requests.
  • Work alongside the Sample Cutters to cut VBPO, Press samples and V.I.P requests.
  • Liaising with local and overseas factories to create V.I.P requests and press samples.
  • Preparing dockets and following up on tech packs for Press samples.
  • Ensuring all components are available and the top up of all trims and components.

Essential Skills & Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic level technical experience from pattern cutting/ sample cutting
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Confident in using Microsoft work / Excel
  • Proficient in Adobe suite including Photoshop and illustrator
