Fire Alarm Engineer

Location: Home based, travel across Northern Ireland

Package: Basic salary up to £35000, plus car and company benefits

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer with a minimum of two years’ post-apprenticeship experience to join our expanding team. This role suits someone who takes pride in high-quality work, understands the critical nature of life-safety systems, and enjoys working across a variety of commercial and industrial sites throughout Northern Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on fire alarm systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults on a wide range of fire detection and alarm equipment
  • Undertake minor works, small installations, and system modifications
  • Complete accurate job sheets, reports, and compliance documentation
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant Fire Regulations and industry standards
  • Liaise professionally with clients and internal teams

Essential Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Fire Regulations and compliance requirements
  • Working knowledge of leading fire alarm panels, including:
    • Advanced
    • Morley
    • Kentec
    • Other common open-protocol systems
  • FIA or equivalent industry training
  • Experience across commercial, industrial, or public-sector environments

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Fire Alarm Engineer post-apprenticeship
  • Experience with Gent fire alarm systems (highly advantageous)
  • Full UK driving licence
