Atlassian Technical Engineer
Location: Telford/hybrid - 2 days per week onsite
Pay Rate: £430 per day inside IR35
Contract: 6 month contract
Eligibility: BPSS and SC eligible and UK National
We're looking for an experienced Atlassian Technical Engineer to join a major government technology programme, supporting and enhancing a large-scale enterprise Atlassian environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with modern DevOps tooling and Agile delivery teams, helping to maintain, optimise and evolve critical collaboration platforms used across complex technical programmes.

What you'll be doing
- Administering and supporting Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket and Bamboo.
- Delivering platform upgrades, migrations and consolidations.
- Configuring Jira Service Management, including queues, SLAs and automation.
- Performing technical health checks and platform optimisation.
- Developing integrations using APIs and scripting.
- Supporting CI/CD automation for application deployment and testing.
- Configuring workflows, dashboards, custom fields and Marketplace add-ons.
- Working closely with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable Atlassian solutions.

What we're looking for
- 3-5+ years' experience delivering Atlassian solutions.
- Strong administration experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience delivering Atlassian upgrades and migrations.
- Atlassian certifications or Technical Migration accreditation.
- Administration experience with Bitbucket and Bamboo.
- Jira Service Management configuration experience.
- Knowledge of APIs, scripting and system integrations.
- Experience supporting CI/CD tooling and automation.
- Strong communication skills and experience working within Agile delivery teams.
