Shire Oak Academy

Job Title: Attendance and Reintegration Coordinator

Location: Walsall

Shire Oak Academy is an exciting and vibrant learning community where students enjoy great success in and outside of the classroom. We aim to provide an outstanding, positive learning environment and value the high quality of relationships that enable this to be true of all aspects of school life. Our Academy motto, ‘Turning Potential into Excellence’ is important to us as we prepare our students for successful adult lives in an increasingly competitive world. We support and encourage our students to try their best to achieve success in all areas and help prepare them for their future choices, not only in their academic learning, but also within other areas such as music, sport, art and drama.

Following a successful first year, Shire Oak Academy is seeking to appoint an Attendance and Reintegration Coordinator to lead and further develop our Attendance & Reintegration Hub. The Hub has become a cornerstone of our inclusive provision, supporting some of our most vulnerable learners to re-engage with education, improve attendance and develop a stronger sense of belonging within school.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate professional to take ownership of a provision that is already making a significant difference. Working closely with students, families, staff and external agencies, the successful candidate will lead reintegration strategies, coordinate targeted support and help shape the next phase of the Hub's development.

The role requires someone who can build strong relationships, inspire confidence, and champion the needs of vulnerable students. By leading a provision centred on wellbeing, belonging and engagement, the Attendance and Reintegration Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every young person has the support, confidence and opportunities needed to thrive in school and beyond.

We are:

  • Aspirational - Inspire all of our students to dream big dreams which extend their horizons beyond their expectations.
  • Success - Learning from failure, challenging expectations and driving for success.
  • Participation - To be fully involved in school life. Take an active part in lessons and take full advantage of the extracurricular opportunities provided.
  • Integrity - Promoting the qualities of selflessness, courage, honesty, respect, commitment and doing the right thing.
  • Responsibility - To enable each student to develop confidence, self-esteem and responsibility in all areas of school life.
  • Excellence - Striving for excellence and high achievement in everything we do.

To provide a safe, secure, caring and supportive environment in which all students may take advantage of the opportunities we provide to develop knowledge, skills, attitudes and values to prepare them for taking up an adult place in 21st Century society as responsible, responsive and enterprising citizens who become effective lifelong learners and make a positive contribution to society.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
