Halliburton is one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry, with more than 100 years of history and operations in multiple countries. Our people solve some of the most complex challenges in energy, and our Legal Department works alongside them.
We are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Attorney to join our Commercial Legal team out of the Aberdeen office. The team is part of a global legal function that brings together several legal disciplines. You will support business activities across Europe, work on contracts with international clients, and partner with colleagues around the world. What You'll Do
- Advise across Europe: working within our global Commercial Legal team and support business activities in a range of European markets.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements: Review a wide range of commercial agreements, including Master Service Agreements, NDAs, and strategic partnerships, across a variety of contracting formats. Take part in, and lead, contract negotiations with external clients.
- Advise business leaders: Under broad direction, advise business leaders on contractual, commercial, and legal risks.
- Negotiate with clients: Take part in, and lead, contract negotiations with external clients, helping to secure commercially sound results that protect Halliburton's interests.
- Research and apply the law: Research the intent of laws and judicial decisions and apply them to the specific circumstances to company business.
- Work across teams: Collaborate with sales, operations, finance, and management teams to deliver joined-up solutions that meet business needs.
- Connect across our global legal department: Liaise with other departments in the global legal team such as Compliance, Litigation, Labor & Employment, Intellectual Property to develop legal solutions.
- Support corporate matters and disputes: Assist with corporate matters, claims, disputes, and investigations, and build relations with selected outside counsel.
- Train and inform: Deliver training for internal stakeholders on topics of relevance for contract negotiation, risk management, and dispute resolution.

What You'll Bring
- A bachelor's degree is required. A master's degree is preferred.
- A license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction(s).
- Three years of experience is preferred.
- Experience with both common law and civil law systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
- A reliable, systematic, and flexible approach to your work and ability to do well in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative attitude and a genuine commitment to being a team player.
- A firm commitment to the highest standards of integrity and to following a strict code of ethics.
- Willingness to travel as required.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is required, while a Master's degree is preferred.
- Three years of experience is required.
