What if your next engineering challenge didn't just test vehicles... but helped define the future of Aston Martin?
Every Aston Martin must prove itself long before it reaches a customer. It must withstand some of the harshest environments, toughest road conditions and most demanding durability programmes in the world. That's where you come in.
We're looking for a Durability & Reliability Test Engineer to join our Vehicle Engineering team in Wellesbourne. This is an opportunity to move beyond the screen and become part of the team responsible for validating the performance, durability and reliability of our next generation of luxury high-performance vehicles.
From prototype vehicles to production-intent programmes, you'll take ownership of vehicle-based testing activities that directly influence the quality and capability of every Aston Martin we build. You'll work closely with test drivers, analysis engineers and engineering specialists to design test plans, execute demanding test programmes and investigate issues before vehicles reach our customers.
This is a role for someone who loves getting hands-on. One day you could be preparing vehicles and instrumentation for a major durability programme. The next, you'll be analysing data, investigating failures, collaborating with engineering teams and helping develop solutions that improve vehicle performance and reliability.
You'll be a key part of the decision-making process, ensuring the right data is captured, the right issues are identified and the right actions are taken. Your findings will help shape engineering improvements and provide confidence that our vehicles are ready to exceed customer expectations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We're looking for someone with a strong automotive engineering background and experience within vehicle testing, validation or development environments. You'll ideally have worked with prototype vehicles and be familiar with industry tools such as Vector, Intrepid, CANape, CANalyser, ETAS INCA or similar diagnostic and data acquisition systems. A degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Electrical or Motorsport Engineering will help set you up for success, but equally important is your curiosity, problem-solving ability and passion for understanding how vehicles perform in the real world.
A willingness to travel is essential. This role will take you beyond Wellesbourne and into proving grounds and test facilities across Europe, with occasional opportunities to support testing activities further afield. If you enjoy variety, adventure and the opportunity to see your engineering expertise directly impact world-class vehicles, you'll find plenty to love here.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who wants to be part of something special. Someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in seeing their work contribute to some of the world's most desirable performance cars.
