Hearst UK operates an in office policy with flexible Friday’s. Our office is based at House of Hearst, 30 Panton Street, St James’s, London, SW1Y 4AJ, where teams collaborate in person and connect across brands and functions.

Salary - £45,000-£55,000 - Salary is dependent on experience and will be assessed in line with the candidate’s skills, knowledge, and relevant expertise

The Role…

We’re looking for an Audience Data Growth Manager to drive the expansion of Hearst UK’s contactable audience database. This role is focused on acquiring high-quality, permissioned consumer data to support subscription growth and wider marketing activity across our portfolio of brands.

You’ll sit at the intersection of marketing, partnerships, and performance, identifying, testing, and scaling new data acquisition opportunities while balancing volume, quality, and cost-efficiency. You’ll own the roadmap for audience growth initiatives and ensure alignment with downstream conversion goals.

You’ll also act as the go-to expert on audience data flows across the business, developing a deep understanding of data sources and feeds, proactively monitoring performance and quality, and working closely with engineering and product teams to ensure integrations are implemented, maintained, and optimised effectively.

Main Duties…

  • Own and deliver strategies to grow Hearst UK’s database of contactable leads, identifying, testing, and scaling acquisition channels across partnerships, affiliates, co-registration, competitions, and paid media
  • Optimise lead generation performance through a structured test-and-learn approach, balancing volume, quality, cost-efficiency, and downstream conversion impact
  • Collaborate closely with CRM, subscription marketing, brand, analytics, engineering, and product teams to ensure data capture, flow, and usage are aligned and effective
  • Manage external partners, agencies, and data providers while ensuring all activity complies with GDPR and internal governance standards
  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of audience data sources, feeds, and pipelines, ensuring data is accurate, reliable, well-documented, and effectively integrated
  • Proactively monitor data performance and quality, identifying anomalies, troubleshooting issues, and driving continuous improvement

  • Consistent growth in high-quality, contactable audience data
  • Improved efficiency and effectiveness of acquisition channels
  • Clear downstream revenue impact through strong collaboration with marketing and brand teams
  • Data feeds and sources that are accurate, reliable, and proactively managed, with issues resolved quickly

What We Are Looking For…

  • Proven experience in data acquisition, lead generation, or audience growth, ideally within media, publishing, or subscription environments
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, performance optimisation, and a commercial mindset balancing scale, efficiency, and quality
  • Experience working with CRM systems, data capture processes, and ideally data pipelines, feeds, APIs, or SQL
  • Analytical mindset with a clear test-and-learn approach and ability to evaluate performance and inform investment decisions
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across marketing, analytics, engineering, and product teams
  • Good understanding of GDPR, data privacy, and governance best practice

Desirable: experience in subscription or recurring revenue models, partnerships/affiliate or co-registration models, portfolio/multi-brand environments, and exposure to propensity modelling
