The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Audience Development and Community Manager to join a growing sports media business creating digital content around high-profile athletes and sporting personalities.

This role will focus on developing deeper relationships with the audience across YouTube, newsletters and wider community initiatives, helping turn viewers and followers into a highly engaged digital community.

You’ll take ownership of a number of audience-facing projects, including YouTube membership activity, subscriber benefits, newsletters, competitions, merchandise and other initiatives designed to improve engagement and retention.

Working across production, editorial, social and external partners, you’ll make sure community programmes are properly planned, delivered and continuously improved based on how audiences respond.

It’s a varied role combining audience development, community management and project delivery, and would suit someone who understands digital media but is equally comfortable managing the operational side of bringing ideas to life.

The Role

  • Develop and manage initiatives designed to grow engagement across YouTube, newsletters and other owned audience channels.
  • Oversee YouTube membership activity, ensuring subscribers receive a strong experience and agreed benefits are delivered effectively.
  • Coordinate newsletter planning and distribution alongside editorial, social and content teams.
  • Create and manage community initiatives including competitions, giveaways, exclusive content and other fan-focused campaigns.
  • Support merchandise and e-commerce activity, helping coordinate launches, customer communication and fulfilment.
  • Track audience participation and engagement, using performance data to identify opportunities to improve retention and community activity.
  • Manage timelines across multiple audience projects, working with internal teams and external partners to keep delivery on track.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
