Media & Events | International Technology Portfolio | London / Hybrid

Are you looking to build a career in media and events within a fast-growing, international business? This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing technology-focused events portfolio and become part of a highly collaborative team working across audience development, marketing, sales and event delivery.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships and being part of an energetic, commercial environment. Previous events experience would be advantageous, but the business is equally interested in candidates with the right personality, communication skills and ambition to develop within the sector.

This is not a traditional high-volume sales role. The focus is on identifying and engaging the right individuals, developing genuine relationships and helping to create a high-quality experience for senior attendees across a growing portfolio of international events.

The opportunity

  • Build a long-term career within the media and events industry
  • Join a growing international portfolio at an early stage of its development
  • Work across major technology-focused events and international markets
  • Develop relationships with senior executives, business leaders and other influential stakeholders
  • Gain exposure to audience development, marketing, sales and event operations
  • Research and identify relevant individuals, organisations and new audience opportunities
  • Manage personalised outreach and ongoing attendee relationships
  • Help deliver a high-touch, relationship-led experience for key guests
  • Work closely with colleagues across multiple commercial and event functions
  • Contribute ideas and help shape how the audience function develops
  • Attend and support international events
  • Build transferable skills across communication, research, relationship management and commercial engagement

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You do not necessarily need several years of directly relevant experience. Candidates from events, media, hospitality, recruitment, business development, customer success, account management or other relationship-led environments could all potentially be relevant. Equally, the business is open to individuals earlier in their career who demonstrate strong communication skills, emotional intelligence and the potential to develop quickly.

Languages

Alongside fluent English, candidates will need to speak either Spanish or Portuguese. Spanish would be particularly attractive, while candidates speaking both languages would be of significant interest.

Career development

One of the most attractive aspects of the opportunity is the potential for progression. The portfolio is expanding internationally, and the successful candidate will be joining at a stage where they can genuinely grow alongside the business. As the portfolio develops, there should be opportunities to take on greater responsibility, broaden your commercial exposure and progress within the wider media and events business. For someone looking for their next step, or potentially their first meaningful move into media and events this offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation and build a long-term career within the industry.
