Job Title
Salary: £43,166 - £50,798 per annum (pro-rated from full time equivalent of £53,958 - £63,498)
Fixed Term Contract: until 10 May 2027
Part Time: 4 days/ 33 hours per week.
About the Role
You will oversee a programme of qualitative and quantitative research, delivering meaningful audience insight and data analysis that informs organisational strategy, business planning, brand development and audience growth. Working closely with senior leaders across the organisation, including Directors and Executive Board members, you will shape and influence the research agenda, ensuring insight drives decision-making and demonstrates impact. The role also plays a key part in identifying innovative research approaches, developing business cases for investment, and ensuring the BFI continues to generate high-quality evidence that supports its strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- To produce high-quality research that supports and informs the work of the BFI, in particular the implementation of its ten-year strategy
- To design and commission research projects where required and to manage these projects on behalf of internal stakeholders.
- To develop accessible and compelling ways of presenting research analysis and insight to stakeholders who may not themselves be familiar with data or the capability of research to inform and inspire business strategy
- Work with senior stakeholders to create plans for research that integrate with and inform our strategic plans, in particular working with Senior Evaluations Manager to ensure a consistent approach to research and evaluation of BFI audience projects.

Requirements
We Are Looking For Candidates Who Have
- Demonstrable experience of managing high-quality research projects from inception to delivery of results, including budget management and line management experience
- Knowledge and experience of using a range of relevant data sources and ability to assess and analyse these to produce high-quality information and insight
- Experience of using a range of qualitative and quantitative research techniques so that internal stakeholders can be advised on the best use of research to answer business questions
- Experience of managing research contracts, including evaluating performance, commissioning work and ensuring value for money against organisational objectives.
