Audio Research Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Audio Research Engineer to join an innovative research team focused on advancing next-generation audio technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work in state-of-the-art acoustic laboratories, conducting cutting-edge research in acoustics, audio signal processing, and auditory perception.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop systems, user interfaces, and protocols for acoustic and behavioral data acquisition.
  • Develop and maintain data processing tools using Python, MATLAB, and MaxMSP.
  • Conduct acoustic measurements and experiments using prototype hardware in controlled laboratory environments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and research teams to integrate data acquisition and processing algorithms.
  • Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports documenting methodologies and research findings.
  • Support the development of innovative audio technologies through scientific experimentation and validation.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Master's degree in Acoustics, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Signal Processing, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of industry experience in audio technology or acoustic research.
  • Experience designing and conducting acoustic experiments in laboratory environments.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, MATLAB, and/or MaxMSP.
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Acoustics
    • Audio Signal Processing
    • Audio Measurement Systems
