Role Description

The AV & IT Business Development Manager (BDM) is a full-time hybrid role based in Chesham, with flexibility for some work from home. The role involves:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities for integrated AV and IT solutions
  • Managing existing client accounts
  • Building long-term relationships with key decision makers

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Prospecting and qualifying leads
  • Preparing proposals and quotations
  • Delivering client presentations and demonstrations
  • Collaborating with technical and design teams to shape solutions that meet client needs

The BDM will:

  • Track and report sales activity
  • Maintain accurate CRM records
  • Contribute to tenders
  • Support marketing initiatives and partner engagement

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in New Business Development and Business Development, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing opportunities.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology and audio-visual systems, with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong Communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, presentation abilities, and confident client-facing interaction.
  • Experience in Account Management, with a focus on relationship building, customer retention, and ongoing client support.
  • Proven experience in B2B sales within AV, IT, or related technology sectors is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional technical and design teams.
  • Comfort with using CRM tools, sales reporting, and basic office productivity software.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites as required.
  • Relevant education or training in business, technology, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory where experience is strong.
