The Opportunity
We're supporting a leading organisation in the search for an experienced Audio Visual Manager to lead the development, delivery and ongoing evolution of enterprise-wide AV services.
This is a true player-manager position, combining strategic leadership with hands-on technical expertise. You'll take ownership of the AV roadmap, oversee the design and implementation of new solutions, manage key suppliers and projects, and provide day-to-day leadership to a small AV team.
The environment includes lecture theatres, teaching spaces, collaboration areas, meeting rooms and hybrid learning environments, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting large-scale AV estates.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the organisation's AV strategy and technology roadmap.
- Design, specify and implement AV solutions across teaching, collaboration and event spaces.
- Act as the technical lead for AV infrastructure, ensuring high levels of performance, reliability and user satisfaction.
- Manage and mentor a small AV team, providing both leadership and technical guidance.
- Oversee AV projects from concept through to implementation.
- Manage AV procurement, tender exercises and supplier relationships.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business and user requirements.
- Ensure AV systems support hybrid learning, collaboration and modern workplace initiatives.
- Maintain documentation, standards and operational procedures.
- Review emerging technologies and make recommendations for future improvements.
- Manage AV budgets, lifecycle planning and asset management.
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting and escalation support for complex technical issues.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
