SET is seeking an experienced A/V Technician to deliver hands-on technical support across our community spaces, with an initial focus on SET Social.
You will set up, operate and maintain sound, projection and basic lighting for our public programme and venue hires, including performances, screenings, djs, weddings and shoots. Our priority is reliable, good-quality setups suited to each space and straightforward for venue staff to use.
Evening and weekend shifts will normally form part of contracted hours, with daytime hours adjusted accordingly. Additional hours will be agreed in advance and compensated through payment or equivalent time off in lieu. Hours may increase towards full-time as venue requirements develop, by mutual agreement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
