AV Technician
We are looking for an experienced AV Technician to join an established in-house AV and events team based in Central London.
This is a hands-on role supporting a varied programme of meetings, conferences, corporate events and hybrid/virtual events. You will be responsible for setting up, operating and de-rigging AV equipment while providing high-quality technical support to clients throughout the event lifecycle.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of AV technology and live event production, combined with strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
Salary: Up to £35,000 + Direct Staff Benefits
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and de-rig AV equipment for meetings, conferences and live events.
- Provide live technical support during in-person, hybrid and virtual events.
- Support live streaming and virtual event delivery.
- Record audio and video content for a range of events.
- Liaise directly with clients to understand their technical and AV requirements.
- Provide advice and practical solutions to ensure events run smoothly.
- Troubleshoot AV issues during live events.
- Carry out routine maintenance and basic repairs of AV equipment.
- Identify and report equipment faults and assist with arranging repairs.
- Support technology upgrades and improvements to AV systems.
- Work closely with internal events and venue teams to coordinate successful event delivery.
- Provide basic coordination and oversight of freelance AV technicians when required.

Skills & Experience
- Good knowledge of professional AV equipment and live event production.
- Experience supporting hybrid and virtual events.
- Confident setting up and operating AV equipment within a live environment.
- Experience dealing directly with clients and users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to remain calm and professional during high-pressure live events.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable taking ownership of an event from initial client discussions through to onsite delivery.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a wider AV and events team.

Working Hours
The role requires some flexibility around event schedules, including early mornings, evenings and occasional weekends.
