This is an opportunity for an experienced Clinical Scientist or Audiologist to join our audiology team as a Band 7 Clinical Lead, specialising in adult audiology services. You will be someone who is experienced in delivering high standards of care for adult patients in complex and non-complex pathways and keen to develop leadership skills, inspiring the service to provide excellent care. This is a role for someone who enjoys being part of service development and change, improving the lives of our patients across East Sussex.

You will be part of the senior leadership team within the audiology service. Whilst you may not have experience in a leadership role, you will understand the principles of good clinical leadership and operational management and be willing to develop those skills.

You will have experience of delivering clinical audit, service evaluation and the ability to share learning and embed change. You will have a working knowledge of BSA and BAA guidance and work with the team to embed evidence-based practice within the day-to-day work. You will also be able to support the lead team to maintain our paediatric UKAS IQIPs registration and achieve UKAS IQIPs accreditation for our adult services.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
