Job Overview
A permanent vacancy has arisen within the Audiology Service for an Audiologist to assist in the provision of a high-quality Audiology service to the population of North Wales served by BCUHB. The post holder will perform duties within the Adult Audiology service as described in the job description.
The post will be based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
This is an ideal opportunity to further develop clinical and service development skills in a supportive and progressive environment.
Applicants should meet the essential qualifications and registration requirements for an Audiologist position.
Main Duties of the Job
The role will be performed in outpatient, domiciliary, and/or in-patient settings across the area served by BCUHB.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- BSc Audiology or BSc plus BAAT Part I&II, or equivalent
- Registered with RCCP, AHCS, HCPC CS, or working towards registration with HCPC as Clinical Scientist

- Recent experience of assessment of communication needs including hearing status
- Recent experience in adult hearing aid fitting and verification
Skills

- Good communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Teamwork skills
Desirable criteria
- Welsh speaker
- Some database experience
- More advanced IT skills
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Must be competent in all aspects of Audiology applicable to the post
