Audio Visual Engineer – London
Location: London – Onsite
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Type: Permanent
We are looking for an experienced Audio Visual Engineer to join a busy technical services team, providing onsite support, troubleshooting and maintenance across a range of AV technologies. You’ll work directly with clients and technical teams to resolve issues, carry out preventative maintenance and ensure AV systems remain operational and reliable.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve AV and technical issues both remotely and onsite.
- Support conference room and collaboration technologies.
- Carry out health checks, preventative maintenance and equipment diagnostics.
- Manage support tickets and ensure issues are resolved within agreed timescales.
- Install, configure and maintain AV equipment.
- Carry out firmware updates and basic diagnostics.
- Maintain accurate equipment records and technical documentation.
- Liaise with clients, facilities teams, IT teams and manufacturers.
- Raise and manage equipment warranty/RMA cases where required.
- Complete onsite reports and document completed work.
- Follow onsite health, safety and client procedures.

Key Skills & Experience
- Experience working with AV and conference room technologies such as Crestron, Extron, AMX, Biamp or BSS Soundweb.
- Knowledge of audio and video processing technologies.
- Strong understanding of IT networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, VLANs and network troubleshooting.
- Experience with firmware updates and diagnostics for networked AV equipment.
- Ability to read technical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and confidently onsite.
- Professional approach when dealing with clients and technical teams.
- Willingness to travel when required.
