AV Support Engineer

Contract duration – 9+ months to start with, possible of further extension or conversion to permanent role

Fully onsite – all 5 days in London, UK

Overview

This is a request for Staff augmentation where the client is looking for a full-time onsite support engineer to cover and support their AV environment, Meeting room requirements, IT equipment, events, etc., ideally.

Job Essentials

AV & Meeting Room Support

  • Provide Level 2 support for AV systems across meeting rooms, training rooms, auditoriums, and collaboration spaces.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues related to AV equipment.
  • Support Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and other conferencing platforms.
  • Perform proactive room inspections and health checks to ensure meeting readiness.
  • Configure, install, and maintain displays, projectors, video walls, microphones, speakers, cameras, and control systems.

Event & Executive Support

  • Provide onsite AV support for executive meetings, town halls, webinars, trainings, and corporate events.
  • Coordinate AV setup, testing, and live event support.
  • Ensure seamless operation of presentation equipment during business-critical events.
  • Act as the primary technical contact during scheduled events.

IT Equipment Support

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain collaboration devices and related IT peripherals.
  • Support conference room PCs, docking stations, wireless presentation systems, and digital signage solutions.
  • Manage AV assets and maintain accurate inventory records.

Incident & Service Management

  • Respond to incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AV-related incidents independently.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers, vendors, or engineering teams when required.
  • Document resolutions, known issues, and technical procedures.

Preventive Maintenance

  • Conduct routine maintenance and firmware updates for AV equipment.
  • Monitor room performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure all AV systems comply with organizational standards and best practices.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with AV vendors and service providers for repairs, replacements, and installations.
  • Work closely with Facilities, IT Operations, Network Teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in AV projects, office relocations, and technology refresh initiatives.
