Audit & Accounts Manager
TPF Recruitment is supporting a fantastic, fast-growing mid-tier firm of chartered accountants in Maidstone with the recruitment of an Audit & Accounts Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious and forward-thinking practice that provides a varied mixture of audit, accounts, and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses.
The firm has experienced impressive growth and is now looking for an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to support its continued development. You will manage a varied client portfolio, oversee audit and accounts assignments, and play an important role in developing both client relationships and junior members of the team.
The Role
- Managing a varied portfolio of audit and accounts clients, acting as their main point of contact and developing trusted relationships with business owners, finance directors, and senior management teams.
- Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, including identifying key risks, developing the audit approach, reviewing files, and presenting findings and practical recommendations to clients.
- Overseeing the preparation and review of statutory accounts and corporation tax computations, ensuring assignments are completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreed budgets and deadlines.
- Providing clients with broader commercial and advisory support, helping them understand their financial performance and improve their systems, controls, and internal processes.
- Managing workloads and resources across multiple assignments while coaching, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior and qualified members of the team.
- Working closely with the partners on complex assignments, client development, process improvements, and the continued growth of the audit and accounts department.

Requirements
- You will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified, with strong experience gained within an accountancy practice.
- You should have experience managing audit assignments and accounts work for owner-managed businesses, alongside the confidence to manage client relationships and supervise junior members of staff.
- Most importantly, you will be commercially minded, ambitious, and keen to contribute to the continued growth of a successful firm.
