Audit & Accounts Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Audit & Accounts Manager to lead and manage audit and accounting engagements within a professional services environment. Based in Eastbourne, this role requires expertise in accounting and finance to deliver high-quality services to a diverse portfolio of clients.

Client Details

This is a professional services organisation specialising in accounting and finance. As a small-sized firm, they take pride in offering tailored services to their clients while fostering a supportive and professional working environment.

Description

  • Lead and manage audit and accounts assignments from planning to completion.
  • Review and prepare statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide expert advice to clients on accounting and tax matters.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely submission of financial reports.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring professional development.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and address client queries effectively.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and industry regulations.
  • Initially the role will be circa 25% audit and 75% accounts/tax with a view to the audit portfolio growing over time.

Profile

A Successful Audit & Accounts Manager Should Have

  • A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA).
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
  • Experience managing client portfolios within a professional services setting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
