We're working with a growing accountancy practice with ambitious plans for the future. They're looking for a driven Audit and Accounts Semi Senior who is hungry to develop, take on greater responsibility and build a long-term career within a progressive firm.
Based near Harrow, the role offers an approximate 70% audit / 30% accounts split, giving you the opportunity to strengthen your audit experience while maintaining a solid grounding across wider practice work.
The opportunity
As an Audit and Accounts Semi Senior, you'll work closely with senior members of the team and gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients. This is a role where development is genuinely important, with plenty of scope to take on more complex assignments and progress as the practice continues to grow.

You'll be involved in:
- Supporting audits from planning through to completion
- Preparing audit working papers and carrying out substantive testing
- Working across a varied portfolio of owner-managed and larger businesses
- Preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP
- Assisting with corporation tax computations and returns
- Producing reconciliations, schedules and supporting accounts work
- Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships
- Identifying issues and raising them with senior team members
- Supporting junior colleagues as your experience develops
- Taking on increasing responsibility as your technical knowledge grows
What we're looking for
You'll ideally have previous experience within a UK accountancy practice and be comfortable working across audit and accounts.
We're particularly interested in candidates who are:
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified, studying towards a qualification, or qualified by experience
- Experienced in external audit within practice
- Confident working with financial statements and audit documentation
- Comfortable managing deadlines across multiple assignments
- Commercially aware with strong client communication skills
- Naturally curious and keen to understand the businesses behind the numbers
- Ambitious, proactive and genuinely hungry for development
