Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with an established and highly regarded accountancy practice in South West London, which is looking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior to join its friendly and professional team.
The Role
This is a predominantly accounts-focused position, with approximately 70–80% of the role dedicated to accounts work and 20–30% to audit.

Working closely with experienced Seniors, Managers, and Directors, you will have the opportunity to take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients while continuing to develop your technical and client-facing skills.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts for a range of clients
- Preparing accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Supporting corporation tax compliance work
- Assisting with audit assignments, including audit planning, fieldwork, and completion
- Preparing audit documentation and working papers
- Liaising with clients to obtain information and resolve queries
- Managing your own workload and ensuring assignments are completed within agreed deadlines
- Working collaboratively with Seniors, Managers, and Directors across the practice
About You
We are looking for an Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior with previous experience gained within a UK accountancy practice.
You Will Ideally Have
- At least 2 years' experience within an accountancy practice
- Previous exposure to audit work
- A good understanding of UK accounting standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- A proactive approach and genuine desire to develop your career in practice

You will ideally be AAT qualified or studying towards ACA/ACCA, although candidates with relevant practice experience will also be considered.
