A well-established and growing accountancy practice is looking to appoint an Audit Senior to join its expanding audit team. The firm works with a varied portfolio of clients and offers a supportive environment where you can take ownership of assignments, develop your technical experience and progress your career.
Your new role
As Audit Senior, you will manage audit assignments from planning through to completion, working closely with managers and partners. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and leading audit assignments
- Supervising, supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members
- Managing workloads, budgets and assignment deadlines
- Reviewing financial statements and assessing internal controls
- Identifying audit risks and developing an appropriate testing approach
- Liaising directly with clients throughout the audit process
- Highlighting issues and recommendations to the wider management team
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and in line with relevant auditing and accounting standards
- Supporting the ongoing development of trainees and junior auditors
- Identifying opportunities to provide further support to clients

Depending on your experience, you may also be involved in group audits, first-year audits and assignments covering areas such as acquisitions, disposals, restructures, overseas subsidiaries and IFRS reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have gained audit experience within an accountancy practice and be studying towards, or already hold, a recognised professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CA. Applications will also be considered from candidates who are qualified by experience. You should be comfortable leading assignments, managing competing deadlines and communicating confidently with clients and colleagues. Strong technical knowledge, good attention to detail and a supportive approach towards junior team members will also be important.
