Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

About You

Previous audit experience is essential. Our client is looking for an experienced individual with 5+ years practical audit experience within an accountancy practice, ideally operating at experienced Semi Senior or Senior level.

Accounts preparation experience would also be highly advantageous, as many of the audits undertaken by the practice involve preparing the accounts at the same time.

Ideally, you will:

  • Have 5+ years audit experience within an accountancy practice
  • Have a good understanding of audit and accounting principles
  • Have accounts preparation experience, ideally including limited companies
  • Be studying towards, or looking to progress towards, ACA or ACCA
  • Be organised, accurate and able to manage deadlines effectively

Our client is committed to supporting the successful candidate's professional development and will fund their professional course/qualification.

They also offer excellent study support. For each subject/exam, candidates receive approximately 10 days where they can study on a Friday instead of working, giving you valuable dedicated study time alongside your professional training.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Audit & Accounts professional, Semi Senior or Senior who wants to broaden their accounts experience while continuing to progress professionally within an established accountancy practice.

If you have 5+ years solid audit experience and are looking for a role offering varied client work, funded professional study and genuine career development, we'd love to hear from you.
