About The Role
This permanent, full-time Audit And Accounts Manager post sits with a Chartered Accountancy practice in Leatherhead, Surrey, offering £50,000 to £70,000 annually. The successful candidate oversees a varied client portfolio, managing assignments from planning through to completion while delivering audit, accounts and advisory services. Strong technical knowledge, team supervision and client relationship abilities are essential, alongside ACA or ACCA qualification. Sheridan Maine is delighted to be recruiting an Audit & Accounts Manager on behalf of a well-established Chartered Accountancy practice based in the Leatherhead area of Surrey.
The Role
As Audit & Accounts Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of sectors and will be responsible for overseeing assignments from planning through to completion.

Key responsibilities of the Audit & Accounts Manager will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact.
- Planning and overseeing audit assignments, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and to a high standard.
- Reviewing statutory accounts and financial statements.
- Preparing and reviewing accounts for a range of businesses, including limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
- Providing clients with practical accounting and business advice.
- Reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Supervising, supporting and developing junior members of the team.
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value to client relationships.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Audit & Accounts professional who is confident working independently and managing multiple client assignments.
You Will Ideally Have
- A minimum of 2 years' experience within a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong audit and accounts experience.
- Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
- Good knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- A proactive, commercially aware approach to client service.
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior team members.
