Audit & Accounts Manager

Are you looking for a role where you can take ownership of a varied portfolio, work closely with clients and play a meaningful part in developing a growing practice team? This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager to join a well-established professional services business in Harrow, with a salary of £55,000-£65,000 depending on experience.

The firm has built a strong reputation for providing practical advice and long-term support to a diverse client base. This is a people-focused environment where technical ability is valued, but so are relationships, commercial understanding, and the ability to help develop those around you.

The Role

As Audit & Accounts Manager, you will manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and corporate clients, overseeing accounts and audit assignments from planning through to completion. You will have a good level of autonomy while working alongside senior colleagues and supporting more junior members of the team.

The role would suit someone who enjoys variety and wants to combine technical accounting and audit work with client management, mentoring, and opportunities for progression.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
