Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts / Audit Manager to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to take ownership of a diverse client portfolio while developing strong client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the practice.

Description

  • Manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, companies, charities, and other clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive support and advice.
  • Review statutory accounts prepared under relevant UK accounting frameworks.
  • Manage and review corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
  • Plan, manage, and review audit assignments (where applicable).
  • Monitor portfolio profitability, work-in-progress, and billing.
  • Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members.
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional value-added services to clients.
  • Maintain high technical and professional standards in line with regulatory requirements.

Profile

  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Approximately 4-5 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounts and tax compliance.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Previous responsibility for portfolio management and fee recovery.
