Beyond Talent is currently supporting a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Leicester is looking to appoint an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior following continued growth and recent client wins.

Known for delivering high-quality, personalised services, this forward-thinking firm works with a diverse and impressive client base across multiple sectors. The Opportunity

This is a hands-on position where you’ll take ownership of assignments from planning through to completion, working closely with Partners and other team members. You’ll play a key role in managing client relationships, delivering high technical standards, and supporting the development of junior staff. The role offers a varied mix of audit, statutory accounts and advisory work, rather than being purely audit focused.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of statutory year-end accounts and management accounts to a high professional standard
  • Leading and managing audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Ensuring compliance with current accounting standards and statutory requirements
  • Managing and supporting a portfolio of varied clients, including more complex and prestigious accounts
  • Providing insights, solutions and strategic input to high-value clients
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supervising, reviewing and mentoring trainee and junior team members
  • Providing technical guidance and quality assurance on junior staff work
  • Supporting Partners on ad-hoc projects, including corporate finance and due diligence work

About You

You’ll be a confident and motivated professional who enjoys working across both audit and accounts and thrives in a collaborative environment.

You Will Ideally Bring

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or qualified by experience
  • At least 3 years’ relevant experience within practice
  • Audit experience
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • The ability and desire to mentor and develop junior colleagues
  • A proactive, professional and solutions-focused mindset
