Audit and Assurance Analyst

Provide the insight, challenge and assurance that helps drive better decisions, stronger controls and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Help provide the independent insight that keeps the organisation operating effectively and compliantly. As an Audit Assurance Analyst, you'll play a key role in evaluating risks, controls and governance processes across the business. By conducting reviews, analysing evidence and assessing compliance against policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, you'll help identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen assurance activities and support informed decision-making at all levels.

Job Description:

🕒 Permanent role - 37.5 hours a week
📍 Hybrid role with 2 or 3 days a week in Warminster
🔐 Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at BPSS level.

What you’ll be doing

  • Support the delivery of internal audits, assurance reviews and compliance assessments.
  • Analyse evidence to evaluate the effectiveness of controls, processes and governance arrangements.
  • Assess compliance against organisational policies, contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify risks, control gaps and improvement opportunities, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Contribute to audit reports, assurance findings and recommendations that drive continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and track management actions to ensure agreed improvements are implemented effectively.
  • Work closely with operational teams and stakeholders to gather information, evidence and insights.
  • Support assurance reporting, trend analysis and stakeholder communications while maintaining independence and objectivity.

What we’re looking for

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Confidence to ask questions, challenge appropriately, and escalate concerns.
  • Strong organisational and documentation skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience working in a regulated, contractual, or public-sector environment (desirable).
  • Experience in audit, assurance, compliance, risk, or quality-based roles (desirable).
  • Knowledge of the military/Army.

Working with the Land Warfare Centre (LWC), OMNIA will schedule, plan, design, deliver and assure collective training across the Army’s Collective Training System (ACTS), while also delivering the Collective Training Transformation Programme (CTTP). Central to this mission is the ability to set and measure training performance against requirements, assure operational readiness, and capture associated training and safety risks.
