About the role...

Our Audit team are on the growth train following the acquisition of CavanaghKelly! And we’re not slowing down. We’ve expanded our remit to Northern Ireland and are looking for an Audit Assistant Manager to join the team.

This is a client-facing role where you’ll work directly with business owners, finance leaders, and our senior management team.

About the day to day…

An Audit Assistant Manager, you’ll be hands-on across a wide range of audit engagements — from established SMEs to fast-growing enterprises — gaining invaluable insight and experience. As you know, this is no rigid, eyes-down and desk-bound role.

You'll get stuck into;

  • Leading audit assignments from planning to completion, both on-site and remotely
  • Managing day-to-day client relationships and acting as a key point of contact
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members
  • Working closely with partners and senior managers to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Getting exposure to a broad mix of industries and business types

Whether you're coming from a Big 4 environment or a small-midsized practice, this is your chance to step into a role with greater autonomy, closer client relationships, and real exposure to senior decision-makers.

About you...

At Cooper Parry, we’re in it together. All we ask of our people is that they play all in. You’ll continuously strive to keep learning – whether you’re a trainee or a Partner – and you’ll be brave, stepping out of your comfort zone to tackle new challenges. Above all, be nice. A simple notion, but an irreplaceable part of what makes CP, CP.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
