Audit Assistant Manager – Investment Funds Industry

About us

MHA is a distinguished audit and advisory firm renowned for our commitment to excellence and innovation. We are expanding our External Audit practice and are seeking a dedicated Audit Manager or Assistant Manager to join our esteemed investment funds audit team in London.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work with Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands, and Delaware-domiciled funds and investment entities. You will collaborate with some of the most innovative mutual funds and private funds, including private equity and venture capital-focused funds. Additionally, there is the opportunity to work with our digital asset fund clients, where we are among the leading offerings.

The offering

As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will:

  • Managing audit work and a team of staff with a commitment to a high level of client service.
  • Help ensure our compliance with International Standards on Auditing and our client’s compliance with IFRS or US GAAP.
  • Review audit fieldwork for partner review.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a technically strong audit manager with:

  • A qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CA, or CPA, along with audit practice experience.
  • Proficiency in auditing, financial reporting, and financial statement review.
  • Competent skills in audit planning and completion as well as audit fieldwork procedures.
  • Competent with Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat. Experience with CaseWare would be advantageous.
  • Up-to-date technical knowledge, including recent developments in accounting standards (IFRS and/or US GAAP).
  • Strong communication skills – both oral and written – with the ability to interact with a variety of people across different environments and time zones.
  • Previous experience managing audits and staff members.
  • Experience within the investment funds industry.
  • A keen interest in auditing digital asset-focused funds would be desirable and relevant knowledge and experience would be advantageous.
