We’re looking for an Audit Assistant Manager to join our high-performing Audit & Assurance Not For Profit - Charities team based in our Manchester office. Key Responsibilities
Join our growing NFP- Charities Audit team in Manchester as an Audit Assistant Manager, an ideal opportunity for an experienced Audit Senior ready to take the next step into management or an established Assistant Manager looking to further develop their career. You will manage your own portfolio of diverse clients, with a particular focus on the Charities & Not-for-Profit sector, you'll remain hands-on in delivering complex areas of audit while taking increasing responsibility for planning and leading assignments, reviewing work, coaching and developing junior team members, and building strong client relationships. Supported by experienced Managers and Partners, you'll develop the leadership, commercial and people management skills needed to progress your career, while continuing to provide an exceptional service to clients across the sector.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We're looking for a qualified ACA, ACCA or CA accountant with experience in external audit gained within an accountancy practice. Ideally, you'll have exposure to the Charities & Not-for-Profit sector, including auditing charities and preparing financial statements in accordance with the Charities SORP, we would also welcome applications from strong corporate audit professionals who are keen to develop their expertise in this specialist area.
You will have experience leading audit assignments from planning through to completion in accordance with International Standards on Auditing, preparing financial statements under UK GAAP (and IFRS where applicable), and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues. We're looking for someone who is confident managing their own workload, reviewing the work of junior team members, identifying audit risks, and delivering a high-quality client service. Strong communication skills, commercial awareness, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, are essential.
