Audit Associate
Location: High Wycombe
Overall Purpose
We're looking for an Audit Associate to join our audit team in High Wycombe. This role offers a clear path towards your ACA or ACCA qualification, along with hands-on exposure to the full audit cycle and some involvement in accounts preparation.
What the Role Involves
- Getting to grips with client systems and processes
- Carrying out client and sector research to support audit planning, including identifying areas of risk
- Delivering allocated tasks efficiently, covering all areas of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account
- Reviewing financial statements to spot irregularities and check regulatory compliance
- Communicating with clients to gather the information needed to carry out audit work
- Supporting senior team members on more complex or higher-risk areas
- Flagging and advising management on control weaknesses and misstatements identified during audits
- Taking part in year-end stock counts

What We're Looking For
- Candidates should hold a relevant degree from a UK university (2:1 or above) or an AAT qualification.
- If your degree is in an unrelated subject, we'd still like to hear from you if you can show a genuine interest in pursuing a career in accountancy, for example, through relevant work experience.
