Everyone who works at Lidl brings something unique to the table - but we also have a whole lot in common. We’re curious, collaborative, and ready to make a tangible impact on where we work

Just like you.

Lidl’s Audit team is seeking a (German Speaking) Associate Consultant for a 14-month Temporary Assignment to drive operational excellence and compliance. Partnering closely with your line manager, you will move beyond standard audit procedures to take full ownership of audit lifecycles, data integrity, and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring our operations remain sharp and impactful across the business.

Please be aware, should this Temporary Assignment have the potential to go permanent, the colleague on the Temporary Assignment will have first-refusal of the role (provided measures have been met).

What you'll do

  • End-to-End Audits: Lead audits from planning through to completion, including opening meetings, on-site analysis, and constructive closing discussions
  • Reporting: Draft clear, actionable audit reports and agree on corrective measures with stakeholders
  • Follow-up: Track implementation of agreed measures and determine the necessity of follow-up audits
  • Independent Remits: Confidently manage and execute smaller audit remits independently
  • Operations: Schedule audit appointments, select properties, define sample sizes, and manage audit routes via the LPW platform
  • Systems: Maintain master data and introduce audit programs in Audimex; extract and consolidate crucial data for review
  • Administrative Control: Manage department invoices, expense reports, and office supplies while monitoring tasks via Thinktime/ToDo
  • Global Liaison: Participate in international meetings, synthesise key outcomes, and translate content for the GB team
  • Presentations: Prepare engaging materials and distribute critical reports in both English and German (where required)
  • Documentation: Update and refresh procedures, manuals, and review reports to maintain high standards

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
