Audit Director (RI) | Opportunity to Acquire Equity | Lancashire

Company Description

Genesis Recruitment Group specialises exclusively in accountancy practice recruitment, partnering with many of the region’s leading independent firms and Top 50 accountancy practices.

All enquiries, conversations and applications will be handled in the strictest confidence.

The Opportunity

A rare opportunity to acquire equity in a successful, long established accountancy practice.

This is far more than a traditional Audit Director role.

Our client is a highly respected independent accountancy practice with an outstanding reputation, a loyal client base and an ambitious leadership team. They are now looking to appoint an Audit Director with Responsible Individual (RI) status to lead and grow their audit offering.

For the right individual, this role offers the opportunity to acquire equity and become a genuine stakeholder in the future success of the business.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the firm’s audit strategy, developing the audit team, expanding the client portfolio and driving the continued growth of the practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
