Finance Assistant – Audit
12 month FTC
Plymouth, Devon
c £35,000 - £40,000
Hybrid working with some travel to UK sites
We’re recruiting on behalf of an established international organisation for a Finance Assistant (Audit) to join their Plymouth based finance team, on a full-time, 12 month fixed term contract. This is a varied role suited to an experienced finance professional with strong attention to detail and an interest in audit, financial controls and accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accounting and financial control systems.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Complete reconciliations, payment run audits and financial checks.
- Prepare payroll journals, accruals and intercompany recharges.
- Support creditor, debtor and supplier management.
- Audit supplier bank detail changes.
- Prepare ad hoc sales invoices and calculate interest on overdue accounts.
- Maintain and improve finance process documentation.
- Support procurement and customs processes.
- Provide general support to the wider Finance team and assist with ad hoc projects.

About You
- Previous accounting or finance experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting procedures and financial controls.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage priorities and work independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good Microsoft Office 365 knowledge.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced or changing environment.
