The Opportunity
As an Audit Junior, you'll be joining the first steps of a rewarding career in accountancy and audit. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience supporting a wide range of clients, learning how businesses operate and helping to ensure their financial information is accurate and reliable. This is an entry-level role with full training and support provided, making it a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to start a professional career in accountancy. Whether you're leaving education or considering a new career path, we'll help you build the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to succeed.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Audit Junior, you'll be responsible for:
- Checking a client's financial information, purchase and sales invoices
- Controls review and walkthrough testing
- Calculating sample sizes, and choosing samples for audit testing
- Checking bank balances and bank statements
- Reviewing client payroll records for accuracy
- Ensure sound knowledge of a client and its industry by researching background of clients and other useful information
- Attend stock takes at client sites
- Develop and apply technical knowledge gained from studies and on the job experience and suggest improvements to existing systems and processes
- Respond to client enquiries in line with company policy
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Dealing with general office admin and emails when required

What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- An interest in accounting and studying for an accountancy qualification (ACA)
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and self-responsible
- Able to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- An ability to work to deadlines
- An eye for detail to be able to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
- Good computer skills, outlook, excel and word
- An ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- A commitment to delivering excellent client service
