IPAF is looking for an experienced and highly organised Audit Manager to lead and develop our international audit function.
This is a key role as part of the Operations team, responsible for ensuring the effective, efficient and consistent delivery of IPAF’s audit programme across an international network. You will manage a team of auditors, oversee audit performance and quality, support the continued development of our audit systems and lead investigations into suspected fraudulent activity.
Working with colleagues and stakeholders across different countries and cultures, you will need to be comfortable working independently while also providing leadership, guidance and support to the wider international audit team.
The role would suit an experienced audit professional who combines strong technical knowledge with excellent communication, leadership and investigative skills and who is motivated by continually improving systems, standards and ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
As Audit Manager, you will:
- Lead IPAF’s audit function, ensuring maximum effectiveness, efficiency and coordination across all elements of its delivery.
- Manage, support and develop a team of auditors operating within an international environment.
- Manage the international audit programme, monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records of audit activity.
- Analyse, interpret and present audit data, identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain and report on the status and performance of the audit programme.
- Support the continual improvement of IPAF’s audit and quality systems.
- Explore and implement appropriate new technology and working practices, including systems that enable effective remote auditing.
- Conduct investigations into suspected fraudulent activity, preparing clear and detailed investigation reports and maintaining the overall fraud reporting structure.
- Respond professionally and effectively to internal and external audit-related enquiries.
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to identify and implement improvements to systems and processes.
- Support the sharing of audit knowledge, experience and best practice across the business.
- Act as an ambassador for IPAF, helping to enhance the organisation’s profile and reputation through all external interactions.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will be a confident and experienced audit professional who can provide leadership while remaining comfortable working independently.
You will be:
- Qualified to ISO Lead Auditor level.
- Experienced in auditing and the management or coordination of an audit programme.
- Experienced in working within an international or culturally diverse environment.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken; an additional language would be a distinct advantage.
- An effective communicator with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Able to actively listen and communicate effectively across diverse teams and cultures, with an appreciation of cultural differences and their relationship with standards and working practices.
- Confident in managing challenging conversations, internal disputes and communications with a range of stakeholders.
- Systematic and methodical, with excellent attention to detail.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities across the business.
- Able to analyse complex information and communicate findings clearly and appropriately.
- An interdisciplinary thinker who can consider issues from different perspectives and identify practical solutions.
