Audit Manager - Milton Keynes
Weโre working with a leading UK professional services firm that is looking to appoint an Audit Manager to its growing Milton Keynes team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced auditor looking to take ownership of a varied portfolio and work with a broad mix of owner-managed businesses and small to medium-sized corporate clients across multiple sectors.
The opportunity will suit an established Audit Manager or an experienced Assistant Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career.
The Role:
As Audit Manager, youโll take responsibility for managing audit engagements from planning through to completion, working closely with clients and senior stakeholders while overseeing and developing junior members of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a varied portfolio of audit clients across multiple sectors
- Taking ownership of audits from planning through to completion
- Managing multiple audit assignments throughout the year
- Reviewing audit work and ensuring assignments are delivered to a high standard
- Delegating work effectively across the audit team
- Supervising, coaching and supporting junior team members
- Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact throughout engagements
- Working closely with Partners and senior members of the team
- Identifying issues during assignments and helping deliver practical solutions for clients

What Weโre Looking For:
- Strong external audit experience within an accountancy practice firm
- Experience with managing audits from start to finish
- Exposure to a varied portfolio of OMB and small to medium-sized clients
- Experience working across clients in multiple sectors
- Experience reviewing the work of junior team members
- Strong delegation and team management skills
- The ability to manage multiple audit assignments and competing deadlines
- A recognised accountancy qualification such as ACA or ACCA, or equivalent
- Hold the right to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship
