Audit Manager
Are you an experienced audit professional looking for a move where you can have genuine influence, work closely with senior leadership and play a meaningful role in the growth of a successful practice? This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, boutique accountancy practice where technical expertise is valued, client relationships matter and your contribution will be visible. Based in Henley, the role offers a varied portfolio, genuine responsibility and the opportunity to help shape a growing audit function.
The Opportunity
As Audit Manager, you'll take ownership of a diverse portfolio while leading audit assignments from planning through to completion. You'll work closely with Partners, support the development of junior team members and become a trusted point of contact for a range of clients. The position would suit an experienced manager who enjoys working in a close-knit environment, as well as a strong Audit Senior who is ready to take the next step. You'll have the opportunity to work across accountancy services, gaining exposure to group structures, international assignments and technically interesting work while contributing to the continued development of the practice.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
